FRUITRIDGE POCKET, Sacramento County — Sacramento Regional Transit says Blue Line passengers using Fruitridge Station should expect a one-day service interruption on Friday, November 6, 2026, as crews improve platform accessibility.

SacRT’s October 28 announcement schedules a bus bridge between Florin and City College stations from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. that Friday while crews install permanent detectable warning tiles at Fruitridge Station. Other stations, including 47th Avenue and Broadway, will face additional disruptions later in November.

This temporary closure is related to platform work, not permanent suspension of Blue Line service. Shuttle trips use surface streets and may take longer than rail, so passengers should not assume their usual train arrival time still applies.

What local residents can do

Residents commuting or attending appointments can check the official Blue Line disruption page immediately before traveling, leave extra time and ask SacRT for accessibility assistance if they cannot use a particular shuttle stop.
