FRUITRIDGE POCKET, Sacramento County — People living in Fruitridge Pocket can review possible road-safety changes at the final community workshop for the Fruitridge Road Safety and Mobility Plan on Thursday, November 12, 2026.
Sacramento transportation officials are inviting comments on designs for Fruitridge Road between Riverside Boulevard and Stockton Boulevard, a corridor crossing city and county areas. The workshop is scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Fruitridge Community Center, 4000 Fruitridge Road. The city says the road is part of its High Injury Network and is a priority for improving crossings, transit access and biking conditions.
The workshop is part of a planning phase, not an announcement that the new road layout has already been constructed. The city expects a digital draft-plan comment opportunity in mid-November.
What local residents can do
Residents can bring specific concerns about school crossings, bus stops, nighttime lighting or the difficulty of making turns. Verify event details with Sacramento Public Works before attending.
