FRUITRIDGE POCKET, Sacramento County — Jack W. Davis Park provides recreation space in the Fruitridge Pocket area at 4053 43rd Street, according to Southgate Recreation and Park District.
The district describes a compact 0.9-acre park with a full basketball court, handball court, exercise equipment, children’s playground, barbecue facilities and shaded picnic area. Major improvements were made in 2017 with volunteer support, including a new playground and basketball court. The local park carries the name of a former Fruitridge Elementary School principal and rancher.
This is a neighborhood park, not a staffed recreation center that offers supervised child care throughout the day. Facilities may be subject to ordinary maintenance closures, and groups should confirm any reservation or cooking rules before organizing an event.
What local residents can do
Families can use the Southgate district’s facility page to check site amenities, report damaged equipment and find other nearby parks if the space is crowded.
